While cruising through one of my favourite websites the other day (Red Tricycle), I came across a story so touching that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. Gregg Eicchorn and his wife Katie live in Cincinnati, Ohio with their 9 adopted kids, all of whom have special needs. The family recently went viral when a friend posted an image of a beautiful snow fort that Gregg built for his kids.

Two of Gregg’s children, Zahara and Elijah, use wheelchairs, and while playing in the snow last week, the whole family pitched in to help create an accessible fort. When interviewed by CBS, Gregg explained that the structure seemed to make Zahara, who is non-verbal, feel “super excited” and “like a rockstar”. Read the whole wonderful story here.
Oh my god this brings so much nostalgia! ππ Bring back the snow fort days.
